-Switching from offence to defence (or visa-a-versa)
-This happens most often in-between whistles
-It means get on your man (defense) or get to your position to set up for an offensive inbound
-It means you are close to 10 seconds without dribbling – SO BOUNCE OR PASS THE BALL
Fire!! (usually called by the coach or a player on the bench at around the 10 second mark)
-A word used on offence
-It means that you are approaching the 12 second limit to get over half
-Advance the ball over half or CALL A TIMEOUT
White!! (or Drop-In)
-Set up key defence
-Set up man on man or a zone defence
-Words used on defense to step up intensity when on the Press!!
-A word used on defence.
-It means do not allow your opponents to set up position on their inbound.
– This made possible by a quick Transition!!
-A word used on defence
-If a teammate is telling you to Switch!! it means he/she wants you to take their man and they will take yours
**This is usually said on the fly and means that you are switching for that play only
-Happens on defence… when the opposing team has a corner inbound
-Low pointer sets up in the corner not allowing the in-bounder to get into the play
